WHEATFIELD WITH CROWS
This may have been Van Gogh's last painting before he died. The paths lead nowhere, the horizon comes forward, and the crows look like they're coming straight for you. Painted while Van Gogh was getting more and more depressed, just before the end. There are only four colors that bring this point home: blue, yellow, red, and green.
