CAFÉ TERRACE AT NIGHT
Van Gogh painted this in September of 1888. The way it captures the moody, lantern-lit cafe is impressive. It's one of the first paintings where Van Gogh really started using stars as major parts of his paintings. The coolest part is that he uses contrasting colors to give the illusion of darkness instead of using black.
